Established in 1905, PHD Chamber today is the apex Chamber of North India actively serving trade and industry for more than a century in ten states and one union territory.

It has in its membership corporate entities from large, medium and small scale sectors, export houses, professionals etc.

Offering varied services in tune with the requirements of its constituents, the Chamber provides common platform for meetings of the representatives of trade, business and industry with senior Govt. Officials at Central and State levels and plays an important role in the formation of Government policies.

PHD Chamber provides common platform for interaction between enterprises and government, both State and Centre. There is no other Chamber that straddles both the national and regional space. More than 140 Government Advisory /Consultative bodies have  PHD Chamber representation. There are MOUs with 60 foreign Chambers/Organizations. The Chamber also focuses on enhancing inter-state cooperation and integrating economic development of the Northern Region.

But PHD Chamber is more than about business alone. Its motto is, "In Community's Life and Part of It". The Chamber has three voluntary organizations for fulfilling its commitments to the cause of socio-economic development and to promote the role of the corporate sector for the upliftment of rural masses.
